Founded in 2010 in Ripon, North Yorkshire the Rural Business Office team is headed by Jill Chinnery. She has over 25 years industry experience in both marketing and systems with a  wealth of “hands-on” business support experience.

She has a team of specialists to call on who have experience in business development, strategy planning, accounting and web design.

Jill says "We are tenacious in finding the best solution for your problems - however complicated - and won't give up until we are satisfied that we have.

"We choose free open source software solutions such as Drupal, SugarCRM and OpenOffice in preference to propriatary software wherever possible. It's not just a Yorkshire philosophy, there are good reasons for doing so. Open source software is maintained and developed by volunteers, so you gain the benefit of flexibility and choice, as well as reliability and stability of product.

We are also fans of cloud computing, and will advocate the best (often safest and fastest) distribution and working environments."
